Tag: ireland A new Irish report has revealed hundreds more victims of child sex abuse by Catholic priests.
Church authorities have identified between 400 and 450 people that allege they were abused by one of 152 Dublin priests since 1940.

Irish officials and clerics from the church have been shocked by the new allegations of endemic mistreatment.
A government-appointed commission of investigation headed by a judge has been probing allegations of abuse by priests in the archdiocese of Dublin since March 2006.
The report, which also probed whether the Catholic Church had attempted to prevent or interfere with the investigation of complaints, has been presented to Justice Minister Dermot Ahern.
It has not been determined when the report will be published.
