The Las Vegas Sun reported Monday that the Supreme Court has allowed the 23-year-old case to move forward. The Catholic Diocese of Green Bay sought a pretrial dismissal because the statute of limitations had expired.
The 2008 suit alleges that the Rev. John P. Feeney molested the Las Vegas man twice when he was a 13-year-old student.
Feeney was discharged by the Wisconsin diocese after sexual abuse allegations arose in 1983. He later relocated to Las Vegas.
Feeney was convicted of four counts of sexually abusing minors in Wisconsin in 2004.
