Fr. John Raab, CMF Claretian Missionary Priest

I was sexually assaulted by Claretian Missionary, Father John M. Raab, CMF in 1978 while he was assigned at Saint Annes Parish, Fort Worth, TX USA. Father Raab informed me that he had relationships with several other young men in the parish, including a young man who was attending Father Raab's Catholic Conversion class. I met the young man, and he was no longer interested in becoming a Catholic. Father Raab has served as a chaplin for the UCLA Newman Center in Los Angeles.

Father Raab has been assigned to Claretian missions and seminaries in Africa and India. I reported Father Raab's predatory activity to his superiors and they promised me he would be removed from further contact with young men-he was not. Father Raab remains an active priest in the Los Angeles area today. I would like to hear from anyone who been approached physically and sexually by Father Raab, in the US and over seas, particularily other seminarians under his supervision, leadership or spiritual direction. healthewounds@yahoo.com
